Polycom Switching VVX Phones from Teams/Lync to Generic SIP

Access Base Profile

   On the phone, press the Home button.

   Navigate to Settings → Advanced.

   Enter the Admin password (default: 456, unless changed).

Change the Base Profile

   Go to Administration Settings → Network Configuration → Base Profile.

   Select Generic instead of Lync.

3. 3

   Press Save/Enter to confirm.

4. 4

   The phone will reboot automatically.

Verify Mode

• After reboot, the phone should start in Generic SIP mode.
• You can now provision or register the device with OIT.
