This article provides instructions on how to manage allowed and blocked phone numbers for extensions, Time of Day (TOD) routing, Auto Attendants, and Call Queues within the Manager Portal.

    Scope

This article outlines how to allow and block calls to an extension in the Manager Portal.

    Requirements

    • Basic User Access to Manager Portal or higher

NOTE: Basic Users may only allow or block calls for themselves. Site Managers or higher may allow and block calls for other users.

    Allowing/Blocking Calls for an Extension

    1. 1
Log in to the Manager Portal.
    2. 2
      Navigate to Users.
      • Basic Users can navigate directly to Answering Rules and then skip to step 5.
    3. 3
      Select the user to update.
      • To allow or block calls for a TOD Routing, Auto Attendant (AA), or a Call Queue (CQ):
        1. 1
Scroll to the bottom of the User's Tab and uncheck "Hide System Users."
        2. 2
Select the system user you wish to edit (TOD Routing, AA, or CQ).
        3. 3
This will block all calls to the specified DID, AA, or CQ, respectively.
    4. 4
Go to the Answering Rules tab. Answering Rules Tab
    5. 5
      Click Allow/Block. Allow/Block Button
    6. 6
On the left, enter allowed numbers and click the + icon to add it to the list. NOTE: This allows callers to bypass "Do Not Disturb" and "Call Screening." It does not specify numbers allowed to dial an extension.
    7. 7
On the right, enter any blocked numbers and click the + icon to add it to the list. NOTE: Calls from blocked numbers will be dropped immediately.
    8. 8
Once done adding numbers, click Done. Done Button

    Allowing/Blocking Calls for a TOD-Routed Number

Use this if Time Of Day routing is enabled and you wish to prevent a specific number from calling into the TOD-routed number. This will stop the indicated number from being able to call in to the TOD-routed number.

    1. 1
      Log into the Manager Portal.
    2. 2
      Navigate to the Users tab.
    3. 3
      Uncheck HIDE SYSTEM USERS.
    4. 4
Navigate to the TOD number's Answering Rules.
    5. 5
      Click Allow/Block.
    6. 6
On the left, enter allowed numbers and click the + icon to add it to the list. NOTE: This allows callers to bypass "Do Not Disturb" and "Call Screening." It does not specify numbers allowed to dial an extension.
    7. 7

    8. 8
Once done adding numbers, click Done.
