    This article provides a step-by-step guide to downloading and configuring the Bria Solo softphone application for use with your hosted voice service, including obtaining necessary SIP credentials from your Manager Portal.

    Scope:

    Bria Solo is a Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android app that can be used as a softphone. The following steps will allow you to configure the Bria Solo softphone application for use with your hosted voice service.

    Requirements:

    • Windows or Mac Computer
    • Bria Free Solo App
    • SIP Credentials
    • Access to Manager Portal

    NOTE: Bria Solo is billed at 2.95 USD monthly and 35.40 annually.

      Note that you will have to create an account for Bria. While it starts as a trial, once the 30 days have expired you will still be able to use Bria Free Solo with limited features.

    Obtain Your Domain Info

      Log into Manager Portal.
      • Login Name will be your extension@yourdomain, e.g., 1016@domainname.
      • Enter the password you created during setup.

      Click on the Phones button at the top.

      Click the Add Phone button.

      Enter a letter from a through z.
      • Note that m and wp are both reserved for SNAPmobile.
      • Now click Add.

      Select the configuration button for the extension you created.

      Take note of the Domain, Outbound Proxy, Username, and Password and close out the menu.

    Configuration

      Create your Bria account to continue the setup.

      Click on Configure SIP Settings.

      Click on Configure a Voice Account and fill out each box using the information gathered earlier.

        Domain: Domain/Proxy from the previous step

        Port: 5060

        SIP Username: Username from the previous step

        SIP/Voice Password: Password from the previous step

      Configure the Service Settings for Bria.

        SIP Proxy: The Outbound Proxy from the previous step

        Transport: Set to UDP

        Voicemail Number: Should be set as 5001

      Click on Next Step button.

      Click the icon of the device you are trying to configure the application.

      Click Set Up Complete.

      Run the file that downloaded.

      Once the installation is complete, log in using the account you previously set up for the Bria website.
