    Configure Speed Dials Sorting List

    This article provides a step-by-step guide for White Label Partners to set up speed dials within the Manager Portal's PBX, configure call forwarding for these speed dial users, and then integrate and sort them using SNAPbuilder.

    Scope

    This article outlines the process for setting up speed dials in the PBX and adding them to SNAPbuilder for sorting.

    Requirements

    White Label Access to Manager Portal

    Create Speed Dial User

      Log in to the Manager Portal

      Navigate to the domain you wish to create speed dials for
    3. 3
      Select Users

    4. Click Add User (or Import Users)

    5. Complete the following fields, leaving all others default:

    • First Name: Contact First Name
    • Last Name: Contact Last Name
    • Extension: Speed dial extension number NOTE: Remember to follow reserved number space when configuring extensions
    • Department: To display speed dials as part of a group, enter a new or existing department name
    • User's Scope: No Portal
    • Add Phone Extension: No
    • Voicemail: Set a Voicemail PIN

      Click Add User


    Configure Forwarding for the User

      Click on the previously created user

      Navigate to Answering Rules

    3. Select the Default answering rule 4. Select Call Forwarding Always and enter the 11 digit phone number 5. Click Save


    Set Speed Dials in SNAPbuilder

      Navigate to Inventory > Phone Hardware

    2. Select the MAC address of the phone you'd like to use 3. Click All Contacts

    4. Under directory source, choose the department to show

    5. Click Extension to sort by extension, first name, or last name

    6. Click Done 7. Select the vertical ellipses menu next to the BLF key you'd like to start showing at

    8. Click Cascade Directory (dynamic)

    9. Click Save and Resync or Save as new template to apply the template to multiple phones
