Avaya Manual Configuration
This article provides instructions for manually configuring an Avaya desk phone to work with your Hosted PBX service, including how to obtain softphone information, find the phone's IP address, and configure the SIP settings.
Scope:
The following steps will allow you to configure an Avaya desk phone manually for use with your Hosted PBX service. This has been tested with firmware 4.0.1.0.11.
Requirements:
- Access to Avaya web GUI
- Access to Manager Portal
Obtain Your Softphone Information
- 1Log into Manager Portal
- 2Navigate to Phones
NOTE: Office Managers can navigate to Users > select the user > Phones
3. Select Phone Info for the phone you wish to register.
NOTE: You will only see the information if the phone model is set to Manual or Softphone
4. Take note of the listed information.
5. Click Cancel when you are finished
Find IP Address
- 1From the Avaya phone, press Main Menu (hamburger menu icon)
2. Select Network Information > IP Parameters
3. Take note of the IP address for the next steps
Configure Avaya Phone
- 1Using any web browser navigate to the IP address of the phone.
NOTE: This should be prefixed with https://. For example, https://8.8.8.8 2. Log in. The default credentials are admin / 27238. If these are incorrect, contact your current service provider or the vendor the phones were purchased from to obtain the login. 3. Select SIP at the top
4. Complete the below fields, leaving all others as default

SIP Domain: Enter the Domain/Proxy

Proxy Policy: Manual

SIP Proxy Server: sbc.ucaasnetwork.com:5060;transport=tcp

Voice Mail Access Code: 9901
NOTE: This field should be at the bottom of the page

6. Edit the SIP Account at the top
- SIP User ID: Username from Manager Portal
- Authentication Password: Password from Manager Portal
- 1Click Login
8. The page will refresh. The Register Status at the top should now say Registered
