Configuring W80B Multi-Cell System
This article provides instructions on how to configure a Yealink W80B Multi-Cell System, including adding the Device Manager (DM) to the Manager Portal and updating the firmware for the bases.
Scope:
The following article will show you how to configure a Yealink W80B Multi-Cell System using at least one W80B Device Manager and one Base.
Requirements:
- 2 Yealink W80B Bases
- Yealink W80 Interim FW
- Yealink W80B DM FW
Adding the W80B DM to the Manager Portal

Log in to the Manager Portal.

Navigate to Inventory > Phone Hardware.

Click on Add Phone.

Fill out the following fields:
- 1Model - Yealink W80B
- 2Mac Address - Mac Address of the Base.
- 3Line X - User extension each line will be assigned to.

Once those fields are filled out, click on the Advanced Tab at the top.

Under the Overrides field, add the below configurations, replacing any X's with the number of the base:
static.station.mode="0" station.X.name="Base X"station.allowed.x.name="Base X" station.allowed.x.mac="<Mac Address of the additional base>- Note: You will need to repeat the above override X times for the amount of bases you will be configuring in addition to the DM.

Once added, click on Save.
Updating W80B Firmware
- 1Navigate to the Web GUI of the phone by entering its private IP address into your search bar.
- 2Log in using the default credentials admin/admin.
- If the above credentials do not work, then the phone may already be provisioned; please reach out to your service provider for assistance.
- 3Once logged in, open the dropdown for Settings.

- 4Click on Upgrade.

- 5On this page under the Upgrade section, click on Browse.

- 6Navigate to the directory of the Interim Rom Firmware and click Open.
- This step only needs to be done if the most recent FW available from Yealink and that of your base is the same version.
- 7Once chosen, click on Upgrade.

- 8Once done, repeat the above steps to install the DM Rom Firmware.
After all of the above steps have been completed, the DM should automatically pick up on the other bases as long as the MAC addresses have been configured and they are able to reach each other over the network.
