Bria Solo Desktop

Scope: Bria Solo is a Windows, Mac, IOS and Android app that can be used as a softphone. The following step will allow you to configure the X-Lite softphone application for use with your hosted voice service.

Requirements:

  • Windows or Mac Computer
  • Bria Free Solo App
  • SIP Credentials
  • Access to Manager Portal

NOTE: Bria Solo is billed at 2.95 USD monthly and 35.40 annually

Download Bria Solo

  1. Download Bria Solo from https://counterpath.com/plan-select-solo/
    1. Do note that you will have to make an account for Bria and while it will be a trial, once the 30 days have expired you will still be able to use Bria Free Solo with limited features.

Obtain your Domain Info

  1. Log into Manager Portal.
    1. Login Name will be your extension@yourdomain IE 1016@domainname
    2. Enter the password you entered during setup.
  3. Click on the Phones button at the top.
  4. Click the Add Phone button.
  5. Enter a letter from a through z.
    1. Note that m and wp are both reserved for SNAPmobile.
    2. Now click Add.
  7. Select the configuration button for the extension you created.
  8. Take note of the Domain, Outbound Proxy, Username and Password and close out the menu.

Configuration

  1. Created your Bria account to continue the setup.
  2. Click on Configure SIP Settings.
  3. Click on Configure a Voice Account fill out each box using the information gathered earlier.
    1. Domain: Domain/Proxy from the previous step
    2. Port: 5060
    3. SIP Username: Username from the previous step
    4. SIP/Voice Password: Password from the previous step
  4. Configure the Service Settingsfor Bria.
    1. SIP Proxy: The Outbound Proxy from the previous step
    2. Transport: Set to UDP
    3. Voicemail Number: Should be set as 5001
  5. Click on Next Step button.
  6. Click the icon of the device you are trying to configure the application.
  7. Click Set Up Complete.
  8. Run the file that downloaded.
  9. Once the installation is complete login using the account you previously set up for the Bria website.
