This article explains how to configure URL Call Popup to automatically open web applications during incoming calls, providing instant access to caller information and business systems.

What it does: Automatically opens a web page when your phone rings, showing caller information instantly

Perfect for: Customer service teams, sales reps, support agents who need immediate access to caller details

Requirements

  • Basic User Access to Manager Portal or higher
  • Office Manager Access required for initial configuration
  • Target web application URL (CRM, helpdesk, dashboard, etc.)
  • Modern web browser with popup permissions enabled

Scenario: Customer calls your support line

Without URL Call Popup:

  1. Phone rings: "555-123-4567 calling..."
  2. Answer: "Hello, how can I help you?"
  3. Customer: "Hi, I'm having an issue with my account..."
  4. You: "Can I get your account number please?"
  5. Customer provides info → You search → Find record
  6. Total time to context: 60+ seconds

With URL Call Popup:

Setup Instructions

Access Integration Settings

  1. Log in to the Manager Portal
  2. Click on Integrations in the main navigation
  3. Select the URL Call Popup tile

Configure Your Target URL

  1. Enter your target URL in the Popup URL field
  2. Use these variables to pass caller information:
    • {FROM} - Caller's phone number
    • {TO} - Called number (your extension)
    • {CALLERID} - Caller ID name (if available)

Example URLs:

  • Salesforce: https://yourcompany.salesforce.com/search?phone={FROM}
  • HubSpot: https://app.hubspot.com/contacts/search?query={FROM}
  • Support System: https://support.company.com/tickets?caller={FROM}
  • Google Search: https://www.google.com/search?q={FROM}

Save Settings

  1. Click Save to apply your settings

Browser Setup

Enable Popup Permissions

  1. Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Site Settings → Pop-ups and redirects → Add your Manager Portal URL to "Allowed to send pop-ups"
  2. Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Permissions → Notifications → Settings → Allow for Manager Portal
  3. Safari: Preferences → Websites → Pop-up Windows → Allow for Manager Portal
  4. Edge: Settings → Site permissions → Pop-ups and redirects → Add Manager Portal URL
